COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – Update to our cancellation policy
Due to the unprecedented times being caused by Covid-19 (CORONAVIRUS), we have had to amend our current terms and conditions regarding cancellations as follows:
Cancellations for bookings due for delivery between 1 & 14 days – No refunds
Cancellations for bookings due for delivery after 15 days, will receive a 100% credit note, with no expiry date.
I hope you can appreciate that in order to protect our business and livelihood of our staff, the reason for making these amendments. We are happy to provide any documentation required to support any insurance claim.
Standard Terms & Conditions
Definitions a) Equipment” means the golf equipment being hired and includes golf club sets, electric and manual trolleys. b) “Booking Form” means the online form completed by the hirer and refers to these terms and conditions. c) “Hire Period” means the period in which the equipment is hired to you, for the agreed period and price as advertised on our website and will commence of the first day and terminate on the last day. d) “Hirer” is the person specified on the booking form. If more than one set of clubs is hired, then the named person on the booking form will be responsible and subject to these terms and conditions.
Agreement between the parties
a) This agreement is between the Hirer and Ace Golf Club Hire Ltd. b) Full payment must be received by Ace Golf Club Hire and paid by either a valid credit card or Paypal. All fields on the online booking form must be completed and once payment has been received, Ace Golf Club Hire will email a copy of your booking confirmation to the email address supplied on the booking form. c) It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all information is correctly supplied at the time of booking. In the event that information is incorrect or misleading, then the hirer will be liable for any costs incurred to rectify the booking.
Credit Card Payments
a) All equipment hired with Ace Golf Club Hire will be transacted with a valid credit card through our secure payment gateway. b) The Hirer agrees for Ace Golf Club Hire to charge their credit card for any amounts due as per your online booking for the entire hire period and by accepting this agreement you authorise ace Golf Club Hire to make this charge. c) In addition, by accepting this agreement you authorise Ace Golf Club Hire to charge your credit card for any lost, broken, stolen and non-returned equipment payable under these terms and conditions. d) The hirer also agrees to authorise payment for lost, damaged, stolen and non-returned equipment payable under these terms and conditions.
a) Ace Golf Club Hire can accept bookings with at least 24hrs notice. b) Ace Golf Club Hire offers equipment to hire for the following periods: 1-4 day, 5-7 day, 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12-14 days. c) For hire periods longer than 14 days, the hirer should email Ace Golf Club Hire for a quote. d) The Minimum hire period is 1 day. The maximum hire period is 8 weeks. e) Ace Golf Club Hire will make all reasonable efforts to supply the equipment you order. However, there may be occasions when factors outside our control, such as equipment being returned late, lost or damaged equipment means we cannot supply exactly as ordered. All our equipment is subject to availability and Ace Golf Club Hire will endeavour to supply you with equipment that is of the same standard or better and which is suitable to fulfil the same purpose.
Delivery and Collection
a) Ace Golf Club Hire will deliver the equipment at the time and date specified on the booking form. A responsible adult is required to accept delivery and produce a copy of the booking form which contains a QR barcode. This barcode will be scanned on delivery and the booking will be “Checked-in”. b) If the hirer suffers delays on arrival and will not be there at the specified time, the hirer must contact the office of Ace Golf Club hire and re-arrange another time. If notification is not received at least 1 hour prior to the due delivery time, additional delivery charges may apply. c) The Hirer may request delivery to a hotel, B&B or apartment complex with a reception desk who can sign for the equipment. If you request this type of delivery then the hirer will remain responsible for the equipment. d) The hirer may request delivery at a location other than the accommodation they are staying, such as a golf course or airport. The hirer or responsible adult that has been designated to accept delivery must be present to sign for the equipment. If neither person is at the specified location within 20 minutes of the designated time, this will be classed as a no-show and the reservation will be deemed as cancelled. Should you wish to re-book additional delivery charges will apply. e) The hirer will make available the equipment at the date and time specified on the booking form for collection.
a) All prices are advertised on our website and subject to change without notice. b) The prices confirmed at the time of booking will be guaranteed. c) Failure to return the equipment at the end of the booking will result in your credit card being charged the full amount of the manufacturers recommend retail price for the equipment, in additional to any further hire charges.
Cancellation and Amendments to Bookings
a) Ace Golf Club Hire will accept cancellations to bookings at any time. All cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to: email@example.com. Telephone cancellations will not be accepted. b) In case of cancellation, the following is our cancellation policy: Cancellations less than 28 days of booking – 30% value of booking. Cancellations made less than 14 days of booking – 50% value of booking. Cancellations made less than 7 days but more than 48hrs before booking – 75% value of booking. Any cancellations made less than 48hrs will result in no refunds. c) Any amendments to bookings, including change of equipment or extension of hire, Ace Golf Club Hire will endeavour to accommodate such changes, however please note any changes will be subject to availability.
Duties and Responsibilities
a) It is the duty of Ace Golf Club Hire to deliver equipment on the specified date and time as per the online booking form. b) Ace Golf Club Hire will supply equipment that is suitable for the hirer’s requirements. It is the hirers’ responsibility at the time of delivery to ensure that the equipment corresponds to the equipment ordered and is in suitable condition. c) The hirer will be required to sign for receipt of the equipment and produce photographic ID, such as a passport or driving licence. d) The hirer is not permitted to take the equipment outside Spain and Portugal. e) The hirer will inform Ace Golf Club Hire of any defects and in the event of equipment failure, Ace Golf Club Hire will endeavour to replace the equipment with the same or similar specification within 1 working day and with no extra cost to the hirer. f) The hirer will make available all equipment for collection at the time & date as specified on the online booking form. g) Ace Golf Club Hire reserve the right to request the return of the equipment or to repossess the equipment if the hirer does not comply with the duties and responsibilities as outlined in these terms and conditions or the equipment appears to be abandoned. In the event of repossession, Ace Golf Club Hire reserves the right to the charge the hirer’s credit card with the full hire period or any period thereafter. h) Insurance is available to limit the liability for loss or damage to the equipment whilst in the hirer’s possession. The following limitations will apply:
a) Failure to return the clubs at the end of the hire period or when requested to do so by Ace Golf Club Hire will result in our charging your credit card the full amount of the manufacturers recommended retail price for the equipment, in addition to any charges for the hire period. b) Insurance is available per set or trolley at a rate of €5 per booking and when purchased will limit your liability to zero cost for any damage to trolleys and broken clubs as long as both the head and shaft are returned. If not then the club will be deemed as lost or stolen. c) Where insurance has been purchased, charges in respect to lost or stolen equipment, will be reduced as follows:
a) Force Majeure – Neither party will be deemed in default of this agreement if its performance is delayed or prevented by acts of God, public enemy, war, civil disorder, fire, flood, explosion, riot, labour disputes, strike or any government or any other cause beyond the control of Ace Golf Club Hire. b) No Assignment – Renter will not sell, assign, sublease or transfer any of Renter’s interest in this Agreement or the Rental Equipment. Any such attempted sale, assignment, sublease or transfer is void and of no effect, and Ace Golf Club Hire shall have the right to immediately repossess the Rental Equipment and assess any applicable charges as specified in this Agreement. Ace Golf Club Hire may sell, transfer or assign its interest in this Agreement or the Rental Equipment without the consent of Renter.
